Winner of the World Architecture Festival Residential Award in 2023, the project reflects a clear intent: a home where architecture and collection operate as one.
The family home of dedicated art collectors, designed by Trimonis Architects, is conceived not as a backdrop but as a setting where art is lived with daily. Developed during my time with the studio, the project moves beyond display to embed each piece within the architecture and the rhythm of the home.
Paintings, drawings, sculptures, medals and maps are integrated into the fabric of the space. Rather than isolating them, the design creates moments of proximity—works encountered in passing, set into walls, niches and circulation routes. The collection is ordered by presence rather than hierarchy.
The interiors remain measured and restrained, allowing the artwork to carry weight without competition. Surfaces are calm, transitions precise, and the spatial language consistent throughout, ensuring continuity between living and viewing.
